Frequently asked questions

welcome

Hello! I am so excited to welcome you into the magical world of MUSIC THERAPY!
In early 2019 I fulfilled a dream, and set up my own music studio, packed it full of musical instruments, dress ups, social skills games and activities, and some cool recording and sound equipment ... and I love what I do, every single day!

We have guitars, flutes, violin, piano, ukuleles, percussion instruments, djembes, conga drums, an electric drum kit, loop pedal, microphones, storybooks and loads more. My studio is welcoming, and fun is assured at each session!

I’ve created visual boards, felt boards and music boards to help us choose what direction our sessions go in! And of course, there’s great meditation and relaxation tools for when we are having those moments when we feel overwhelmed … and 100’s of CD’s (remember them?) for when my “ hey google” can’t find that particular piece of music we are looking for…)

So come and join me for a session! Bring your mum, dad or carer. They’ll love it too …

Because music is for everyone to enjoy.

It helps us to learn.

It helps us to concentrate.

It helps us to relax and regulate.

It helps us to have fun, and to make great friends …

I look forward to seeing you soon!

I have been trying to get my children into music for years... They met Rebecca and now they can't wait for their sessions each week! Best Music Therapist around!

Belinda Cornwall, mum of Eli,9

My son (ASD level 2) is always happy and emotionally regulated after a Music Therapy session. We have seen such positive changes in our son’s life since starting therapy with Rebecca. Music therapy has been such a blessing to our family.

Jess, mum of Fleetwood,10, Brooklet

I am overwhelmed by Fleetwood’s progress since starting music therapy sessions with Rebecca.

He is now chatty, gaining confidence within himself and talks repeatedly about what an awesome time he has in the music sessions. He loves playing music especially the drums and piano, but he also loves the books and resources on understanding ASD that Rebecca uses.

I will probably never be able to fully express my gratitude for the work Rebecca does. I feel I have my son back. It's such a blessing to see him happy. So much gratitude

Amelia, 14

I like the freedom and accessibility of coming to music therapy. Rebecca makes music fun and exciting. We always experiment with different instruments and sounds. I feel really motivated after I have a session.

Andrea, mum of Amelia, 14, Ocean Shores

My daughter Amelia has attended Music Therapy weekly with Rebecca for approx. 18 months. Amelia leaves each session inspired to continue music composition, song writing, and singing. She enthusiastically returns each week to Rebecca's therapy sessions. Rebecca is flexible adn adapts to the learning needs of Amelia. Rebecca encourages Amelia's musicality and at the same time assists Amelia with her social skills. (ASD level 2).
